Meet Scot

I am proud to announce my candidacy for Clerk of Court for Caldwell County. I’m asking for your vote and support. I feel I am most qualified for the position of Clerk of Court because of my 22 years of experience in the judicial system.

I graduated from South Caldwell High School in 1991 and then attended Brevard College. I then attended Lees McRae College where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. I attended Basic Law Enforcement Training at Mayland Community College, and served as a reserve deputy for the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department.

Being a resident of Caldwell County since 1980, I have enjoyed serving the citizens of this great county for 25 years as a public servant. For the past 22 years, I have served as a magistrate. My experience includes presiding over small claims court and both civil and criminal hearings. I have an excellent working relationship with law enforcement, clerks, District Attorney’s office and other agencies in Caldwell County.

My wife Lisa, a lifelong Caldwell County resident, and I reside in the Town of Hudson. We have two daughters. Our oldest Tori is a rising senior at Appalachian State University studying Business, and Abby is a rising senior at South Caldwell High School. We enjoy spending time together with our friends and family.

For more information about my campaign and upcoming events, go to my website . Thank you for your support. And remember to vote in the primary on March 8th, 2022 and the general election on Nov. 8th, 2022. I will strive to uphold this position with integrity and wisdom to do the best job possible for the residents of Caldwell County.
